The fallen star is a Diablo 3 quest that can be found in Act I. Below are the informations about the quest and the steps you have to do in order to successfully complete this quest.
Quest name: The fallen star
Starting location: New Tristram
Starting NPC: Captain Rumford
Quest reward: 1000 XP / 150 Gold / Weapon according to class.
Quest description: "A star has fallen in New Tristram. Protect the town from the vile dead that have risen since it fell."
1. Go to New Tristram and talk to Captain Rumford. He will send you to Leah, the only one that survived the fallen star when it fell on the cathedral.
2. The undeads will attack the New Tristram gates, kill them!
3. Go to the center of New Tristram where you will find Leah. Talk to Leah.
4. Kill the undeads that are rising in the Slaughtered Calf Inn. After you killed them, talk to Leah again. 5. Go back to the New Tristram gates and speak with Captain Rumford.
6. You will be sent to kill Wretched Mother, after you talk with Captain Rumford.
7. Go in the Old Ruins (N-E New Tristram) and get rid of the following: Wretched Queen and Wretched Mothers.
8. The fallen star quest is almost over, now all you have to do is to return to Captain Rumford. You can use the Old Ruins Waypoint to teleport back to New Tristram. If you want to see how to finish the Diablo 3 quest: The fallen star, watch the video posted below:
