In the first act of Diablo 3, if you follow the story line, you will meet the 3rd quest called "A shattered crown". In this quest, you have to find Leoric's crown because with it you can destroy Skeleton King, the one that stands between you and the fallen star. Follow the steps below so you can successfully complete the diablo 3 quest: a shattered crown.
1. In N-W of New Tristram, you will find blacksmith Haedrig Eamon. Go and talk to him, he will tell you where to search for the Leoric's crown.
2. Find the Cellar of the Damned and kill the mobs inside.
3. Afterwards, you will have to kill Haedrig's wife, Mira Eamon. She is also located in the Cellar of the Damned.
4. Speak to the blacksmith and then open the gate of New Tristram in the N-W side.
5. Now search for the Cemetery of the Forsaken, located in the Weeping Hollow.
6. Beneath the Cemetery of Forsaken you will find the Defiled Crypts. Find inside the crypts the Chancellor's Altar.
7. Your next step will be to kill Chancellor Eamon, his location is in the Chancellor's Tomb, inside the cemetery.
8. On the Chancellor's Altar is the Leoric's Crown. Take the crown of the Skeleton King, and go to talk to Haedrig Eamon in New Tristram.
These are the steps you have to follow in order to finish A shattered Crown quest in Diablo 3.
