Diablo 3 Best wizard build guide

Diablo 3 wizard guide - What build to choose for your wizard

The wizard is a powerful class in Diablo 3, but you have to know how to play it, in order to be one of the best. The wizard is the class that deals massive damage, but unfortunately has low hp and so, you have to pay attention when you play. Even on normal difficulty you can't afford to "tank" too many mobs, because since the health potions have reuse, you`ll end up dieing. The first thing you have to know when playing a wizard, is to know how to kite your enemies.

Wizard class guide - How to kite your enemies

Learning how to kite is important because you have to deal damage and take the least damage possible from your enemies. The hit and run tactic has always been overpowered on a wizard. Depending on the build you choose for your character, there will be small differences between you and another wizard, but the main idea is that the wizard is not a tanker. You have to stay back and let others take aggro. Stay "in the shadow" and strike your opponent when he expects less, then you have high chances to put him down!

On higher levels, you will have certain skills that will help you kite, like the Blizzard skill. You need to choose at least 1 skill, preferably area of effect (aoe), that will slow down or even froze your enemies. While your enemies have decreased movement speed or are frozen, you can deal damage and take distance from your target. Also, pay attention to what properties unique mobs have, because some of them might be lethal to your wizard, but that depends on the build.

What build to make on wizard in Diablo 3 ?

If you're wondering what build to choose for your wizard or you don't know for sure what the best build for wizard class, I`ll give you some ideas. The first thing you will notice after playing a wizard is the fact that this class lacks HP, so items with the combination of "vitality + intelligence" are the best in my opinion. You need high DPS but also some hp, because of nightmare/hell/inferno some mobs might 1 shot you if you don't have increased health.

You need to make your class balanced, a little of vitality, a little bit more of damage and so on. What you don't really need that much is: dexterity and strength. Of course, all of these are helpful, but for a wizard intelligence and vitality counts the most.Sell the items that aren't for your character and always use the auction house to search for new and cheaper items for your class. You`ll be amazed how many useful items people sell and what little price they ask for them sometimes!
